Odyssea needs very little: enough to let you come back to your games, and enough to keep them running. Nothing below is used to follow you elsewhere, and nothing is sold.

Odyssea is published by one person, in their own name, with no company behind them. They decide what is kept and answer for how it is used.

This, and nothing more. Every line says why it exists.
What opens your account: your e-mail address and your password, kept as a fingerprint no one can read back — or the identifier Apple hands us when you come in through it. A game played without an account has neither address nor password: the device is enough to find it again.
Your handle, which is optional, and the language you read in.
Your phone's notification address, if you agree to be told. It comes from the system, it says neither who you are nor where you are, and refusing takes nothing away from the game.
The state of your empires: your colonies, your fleets, your orders, and the date you last came by. That is the game itself, and it cannot exist without them.
Failed sign-ins against an identifier, long enough to push back an attack. No network address is recorded.
During the closed test, what you write in the feedback thread and the screen you write it from. The other people trying the game read it: that is what the thread is for.
To let you come back to your games, to keep running the universes your empires live in, to tell you when one of your orders completes if you asked for it, and to stop anyone forcing their way into your account. The first ones deliver what you came for; the last one protects what is yours.
No advertising. No tracker, no audience measurement, no third-party tool planted in the app to watch what you do in it. Nothing is sold, rented, or handed to anyone who would like to sell you something. Your orders and your positions serve the game, never a profile.
Cloudflare hosts the server, the databases and the sending of our e-mails. Apple carries the sign-in with an Apple identifier and hands notifications to your phone. Each acts on our behalf, in that role alone. Both are American: your data may be processed outside the European Union, under the contractual safeguards the regulation requires.
Your account lives as long as you keep it: erasing it from the app deletes it, along with everything attached to it. An empire, though, is released after a long absence — the delay is longer with an account, and the app shows it to you. Past that delay, your colonies become independent worlds. An e-mail warns you beforehand, if your account carries an address.
A copy of what we hold, its correction, its erasure, its transfer elsewhere, or a stop to any use you object to. Write to the address above: the answer goes out within the time the law allows. If it does not satisfy you, the CNIL can be called upon.
Odyssea is not addressed to people under 15.
It will change: the game is not finished. The date at the top of this page says when it was last rewritten, and any change to what we keep or what we do with it will be brought to your attention.
